Starting next Tuesday, August 18th, at 4p, the Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will re-open, for the first time since the original COVID-19 lockdown, but as a whole new enterprise – the Barrel Thief Wine & Spirits Bottle Shop.
The Barrel Thief will now be open, Tuesdays through Sundays, from 4p to 8p, for sales of fine wines, spirits, beer and cider – plus to go food including house-made pot pies. The Barrel Thief has been known, since its inception, as a comfortable, community site for an impressive selection of whiskeys, brandies, mezcals, and wines, for educated as well as inquiring palates. Now, those same curious clients will be able to eat well while they drink.
Starting August 18th, the Barrel Thief website (click here,) will also have an order form to allow those who wish to choose their items in advance, for easy ‘curbside’ pick-up.
Like all Fremont businesses, the Barrel Thief is committed to cleanliness and safety, and care and concern for its customers and staff. All visitors are asked to wear face coverings, stay socially distant and avoid visiting when sick. Also, the Barrel Thief would strongly encourage purchases be made by credit card, for better hygiene, but those who plan to pay with cash are asked to provide the exact amount.
The re-imagined Barrel Thief Wine & Spirits Bottle Shop is expected to provide for our neighborhood for as long as the safety and security of our community require it. Once COVID-19 restrictions can be lifted, the full-service Barrel Thief lounge and restaurant will return!
