The Bastyr Center for Natural Health, on Stone Way, offers plenty of ways to be pro-active and preventative in regards to physical and emotional health.  On Wednesday, December 1st, from 6:30p – 7:30p, Bastyr will offer a Virtual Living Naturally talk on Holiday Depression Prevention, with Dr. Jennifer Pfeuffer.

An assistant professor at Bastyr University, Dr. Pfeuffer is a psychologist who has done clinical work in the areas of trauma, anxiety, and mood disorders.  Dr. Pfeuffer will not only talk about ways to identify and address holiday-related depression, but also take questions and give answers about attendees specific issues and concerns.

This free Zoom talk will help you and your loved ones manage depression during the holiday season.  Specifically, Dr. Pfeuffer will instruct attendees on:

If rather than joy and pleasure, holiday images fill you with dread and despair, consider getting information about treating holiday depression. Photo provided by Pixabay.com
  • How to identify depression
  • The similarities and differences between temporary, and passing, holiday depression and clinical depression disorders
  • How stress and anxiety can increase depression symptoms
  • Specific treatment options for combating and addressing holiday depression
