On Saturday, August 10th, the Bike For Water ride will start from MiiR Flagship on Stone Way, to raise $20,000 for clean water for communities in Mozambique, Ethiopia, Honduras, and Bangladesh, through Water 1st International.
There will be three different lengths of rides in the Bike For Water – a 60-mile/100k, a 30-mile/50k, and a 15-mile/25k. Each race will have a different start time, with the first beginning at 8a from MiiR. Registration costs $25 per person (in advance – day of is $40,) with children 10 & under riding for free, but each rider is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 in donations.
From Noon to 3p, riders are expected to return to Fremont, at Experience Momentum, for food, drinks, prizes and information from area non-profits, including Seattle Neighborhood Greenways and FamilyBike Seattle.
