Blind Café Brings Positive Social Change, And Dinner, This Weekend

BlindCafeLogoPicA few tickets remain on sale for seatings on April 9th, 10th & 11th of Seattle Blind Café, at NalandaWest.  This pop-up, heart-opening experience can still be taken, for those looking to taste of positive social change in the dark.

This ‘Sensory Tasting’, prepared by a local chef, is a full vegetarian meal, served in the dark, by blind wait staff, and accompanied by live, original music.  Learn about yourself, your friends or family, and the entire experience of being blind.  After eating, participate in an open, honest question-and-answer period between the wait staff and diners.

This is NOT another dinner in the dark – it’s a community experience that allows connection, learning, and growth.  Feel more alive, awake, present and connected to your world, while connecting with and benefiting local blind organizations through Blind Café, and raising awareness.

Purchase tickets for a seating of the Seattle Blind Café, April 9th, 10th or 11th, through Brown Paper Tickets.  General admission is $55 – $195, sliding scale.  The organizers want to make this unique and unforgettable experience available to all, regardless of financial status, although they also want to pay the staff, and local support organizations, and they ask you really pay-what-you-can.
