Blind Café Is Back, But Not In Fremont

BlindCafeLogoPicTickets are now on-sale for The Blind Café, in Seattle July 25th – 27th, this time at Lucid Lounge.  Previously hosted at Fremont Baptist Church, this time out enjoy this unusual and challenging evening of food, music and darkness in the Ravenna area.

For those who’ve experienced this dining experience – where people eat and talk in complete darkness while being served by blind members of our community, and listening to live music – this is a chance to try out a new location, and bring friends and family to share in this opportunity.

For those who haven’t tried The Blind Café, I can promise that there is nothing quite like it.  The sense of sight has never been so well missed as during a communal meal shared in the dark – and  joining with others to find your meal, to talk with your dinner companions, and to listen to the music of Rosh & One Eye Glass Broken Orchestra, is an experience not to be missed!

This time out, enjoy dinner at 7p on Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th, at 6p on Sunday, July 27th, or Sunday brunch at Noon.  Tickets can be purchased through The Blind Café website.  Volunteers, sponsors and those with questions can contact the organizers at theblindcafe@gmail.com
