This summer, take time to do what you love and enjoy an opportunity to play music at the Dusty Strings Music School. This internationally regarded resource is available right here, with great teachers instructing in all kinds of music to all levels of musicians.
For total beginners, or those wanting to learn to play a new instrument, check out Jason Stewart’s Beginning Bluegrass Banjo 1, or Birch Pereira’s Ukulele classes. Learn classic bluegrass tunes that you can start jamming on right away.
Dusty Strings offers drop-in weekly classes, like Susan ‘Tudy’ McLain’s Irish Music Ensemble, open to all levels and instruments, along with one-time workshops, including the Fingerstyle Guitar Master Class with Barry Pollack on June 16th.
In addition to classes, Dusty Strings offers free weekend jam sessions as an opportunity to play music as well as meeting friends and finding out about other musical events. Jalaine Madura hosts the As Best You Can for guitarists on the first Sunday of every month, and the Everybody Plays for all instruments on the second Sunday. These welcoming meet-ups provide a judgement-free zone to try out new stuff.
