This weekend, two favorite Fremont businesses opened one block over from their original locations. Café Turko, our authentic Turkish restaurant, has moved after 15 years, and Milstead & Co, after 4+, from a building that once housed Fremont Electric.

Both have moved into a temporary location, one block east at 900 N 34th St, while their original building is demolished and a new office building is built, with retail and these two established restaurants at the ground floor.

Milstead & Co and Café Turko should be operational at their temporary location for 1 – 2 years, until the new building is completed and they can return. Owners of both small businesses hope customers, and potential customers, will visit their temporary locations – and be patient during the transition into the brand new building to come.
