This Saturday, June 15th, from 10a – Noon, volunteers will gather at our neighborhood park, to pull out weeds and make tidy our Fremont Peak Park.
Designed and created by members of our community, Fremont Peak Park officially belongs to the Seattle Parks & Recreation but neighbors – and anyone willing to give generously of their time – continue to maintain the half-acre view park. With art that celebrates and marks the solstice and equinox, this is an ideal time to commune with nature and art at Fremont Peak Park – and give some time to cleaning up this public green space.
Some gloves and tools will be available for use by volunteers, but workers are encouraged to bring their own favorites. There will also be coffee and cookies on-hand, for the volunteers to enjoy, but donations of this kind will also be appreciated. Finally, bring your own water bottle and coverings as there is no shelter in this park.
If you can attend, please RSVP to info@FremontPeakPark.org so that organizers can know how many volunteers to expect. And thank you for giving of your time to make our neighborhood more beautiful!
