On Sunday, April 1st, Fremont’s faith communities will be celebrating Easter – and everyone is invited to join any of these joyous worship services.
- Fremont Baptist Church has issued an open invitation to Easter Breakfast before the Easter Service. On April 1st (no joke!) enjoy breakfast from 9:15a – 10:15a, with the service starting at 10:30a.
- Join the community at Emmanuel Bible Church at 10a on Easter Sunday, to celebrate the hope of the world and the promise of God for our lives.
- On 4p, hear and experience how lives flourish in gospel-saturated relationships, and celebrate death defeated and hope secured with The Hallows Church in the new location for the Fremont Expression – at 4900 Dayton Ave N, near the Woodland Park Zoo.
- For those ready to celebrate Easter vigil, the Church of The Apostles (COTA) will hold the annual Easter RISE service and party on Saturday, March 31st (there will be no COTA service on Sunday, April 1st.) Join in at 5p, for worship, with a communal dinner & drinks evening at 6:30p, and live music and dancing at 8p.
Costumes and festive outfits are encouraged to this celebration, but not required. Suggestions for costumes are: divers, sea creatures, swimmers, sailors, beach goers, and any other watery attire – to acknowledge the baptisms taking place during worship. A donation of $10 – 15 will be asked for the dinner.
This is a wonderful time of year to consider stepping inside one of the faith communities in Fremont, to celebrate and socialize with neighbors. Find more details about all of these churches on their specific websites – and register for their e-newsletters there as well!
