On Saturday, December 17th, between Noon and 7p, the wacky folks at Not A Number will celebrate the season with a selection of traditional Festivus rituals including the Airing Of Grievances, Feats of Strength (including Rock’em Sock’em Robots, thumb wrestling, tater tot toss, etc.,) and a selection of Festivus poles.
This celebration will take place rain or shine – why else would they put out a red canopy? – and provide fun even for those completely clueless about the meaning of Festivus. Those who attended the 2011 Lenin Lighting had a taste of what fun Festivus can bring – and already know that the Not A Number folk have a funny way about tater tots. Still not convinced? They’ve promised the store offers a ‘No Annoying Holiday Music’ zone.
Stop by next week, December 19th – 24th, to take advantage of the generous Christmas shopping special. All items that fit into the stocking (Santa-boot-size stocking only) can be purchased for 20% off – to those who mention this Fremocentrist.com promotion.
On Saturday, December 24th, for the seventh year running, Not A Number has promised to be The Last Store Standing. The outrageous and something-for-anyone gift shop will stay open until at least 8p. Stop by for fun, fellowship – and that last, desperate opportunity to get a gift for the sister-in-law or cousin you didn’t plan on!
Not A Number is located 40 smoots (I don’t know, ask them!) from the Center of the Universe – a.k.a. 720 N 35th St, across from the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library and Slippery Slope park.
