On Friday, June 22nd, at 8p, The Panel Jumper LIVE returns to West of Lenin for Chapter VI.  This comic book themed cabaret event celebrates the magic of sequential storytelling with live performances and interviews.

This sixth chapter of The Panel Jumper LIVE will bring experts and superstars of the nerd culture to the stage at West of Lenin.  Hear nerd rock pioneer Kirby Krackle, watch a pulchritudinous comic strip PowerPoint, by Jim Jewell, on the academic inquiry known as Shmoo Studies, and learn from an interview with comic artist Lonnie Mann on comic memoirs and going places, doing things and eating stuff.

Thrill to a newly commissioned short-play by Maggie Lee, and witness the world-premiere screening of ‘Jack Kirby & The Lord of Light’, a tale of space gods, hostages and how a comic industry legend saves six innocent lives.  Finally, the evening will close with nerd-tacular burlesque – a Tolkien tease – by Kir Royale and Olivia of the Stage.

Purchase tickets in advance through Brown Paper Tickets, for $10 per person.  Attendees must be at least 18 years of age.  This live, cabaret show compliments the web series, The Panel Jumper, a quirky documentary-style program that examines comic book history and lore, written and co-produced by Cole Hornaday and Ben Laurance.  Come enjoy an evening of humor, history and accessible entertainment about one of the most accessible forms of literature – the comic book!
