On Friday, May 1st, starting at 5p, the Fremont Arts Council will celebrate May Day with a dance around the May pole, flowers and a potluck picnic supper, all at Lower Woodland Park near the lawn bowling courts, Shelter #6.

Time to put on your white clothes, place flowers in your hair and join in the dance around the May pole, then Simon-Our-Fool will lead games, and the Green Man and May Queen, once crowned, will reign over all.  At dark, the Beltane fire will be lit and those ready to leap will be able to join in.

See spring in with love in your heart and fun with your friends.  Bring along a favorite dish to share, and beverages, but plan to pack out everything you bring.  Also, invite along all friends, family and kids – this is an open event and all are welcome.
