Celebrate The Art of Sarah Weathers At An Artist’s Reception In The Garden

Come hang out in the garden, for the Solstice and the art!

On Saturday, June 20th, from 3p – 6p, the Down Under Gallery (down-the-stairs at 465 N 36th,) is holding a garden party for this month’s featured artist, Sarah Weathers of Vibrant Poppy.  Her show, Rainbow Renaissance, is on display inside the gallery but for the safety of all visitors, as well as the artist, an Artist’s Reception will be held in the garden surrounding the gallery.

Visitors will be allowed, two at a time, to step inside the Gallery to see the bright, sunny art of Vibrant Poppy.  The PhotoArt of Sarah Weathers uses light and shadow to emphasize the intense colors of natural flowers, and extreme close-ups to capture details and unique aspects in her compositions.  Vibrant Poppy offers these inspiring images mounted, on magnet tiles, and on small refrigerator magnets.  Weather’s FiberArt can warm the body and lift the spirit, with colors and textures designed to brighten up a home.  These homemade tams, rainbow mandala afghans and charming throws create a rainbow of delights.  Sarah Weathers offers up these pieces as bright lights of hope, love, peace and joy for your home or other space in need, during this time of isolation and insecurity.

The PhotoArt and FiberArt of Vibrant Poppy will be on-display inside the Gallery, as well as in the garden, as the weather allows.  The Artist’s Reception In The Garden is a rain-or-shine event, with a canopied area for those seeking shelter from any precipitation or strong sunlight.  As the Solstice sun allows, some of the other art on display Down Under – from local artists Rodman Miller, Scott Lantz and Adrian Laney – may also be on view in the garden.

Everyone is invited to come celebrate the Solstice, and the art of Fremont artists, at this Artist’s Reception.  The Down Under Gallery is also headquarters for this news website, Fremocentrist.com.  Come join the garden party, and share your stories and sorrow at the loss of our weekend of celebrations – as well as the memories and magic we’ve all enjoyed over the decades of Fremont Month Festivities.

The Down Under Gallery, and Fremocentrist.com, promise to do whatever we can to provide a safe and healthy gathering in the garden on June 20th from 3p – 6p, and we hope to see you there!
