On Saturday, September 12th, from 10a – 4p, Seattle Tilth invites everyone to participate in fun activities, appreciate locally grown organic food and support local farmers at the Harvest Fair at Meridian Playground in Wallingford. Co-produced with Tilth Producers of Washington, Seattle Tilth’s sister organization, the Harvest Fair kicks off Washington Organic Week, and strengthens the connection even further between those who grow the food and those who eat the food.
Press cider from local apples, visit the demonstration tent, snuggle a goat, make an herb crown, listen to live music, chat with a chicken, take part in kids’ crafts, and/or join the parade complete with marching band. Enjoy local organic produce, beer, wine and cider; shop for native and edible plants, garden supplies and sustainable goods. Also consider bringing goods to trade at the ‘Backyard Barter.’
