Spread a blanket! Play music! Dress in white! Bring flowers! Join in the fun and renewal of the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) May Day celebration!
On Monday, May 1st, at 5p, the Fremont Arts Council invites all ages to join in their community potluck, with dancing, a May pole, and games, at Lower Woodland Park Shelter #6.
FAC volunteers will help with making headdresses from cut flowers brought by participants. A Green Man and a May Queen will be chosen by all attendees in a rowdy ritual led by the fleet-footed Fool. Dance and weave the ribbons around the May pole. Bring your own food, with dishes and utensils, and plan to pack out what you brought – and bring a flashlight to help with clean up!
