Church Of The Apostles Christmas Drive Collects Items For Folks Experiencing Homelessness

The members of The Church Of The Apostles are holding a Christmas Advent Drive to collect essential items for folks experiencing homelessness.  If you would like to participate, contact COTA.

As we enter the Advent season, COTA will be partnering with Real Change to identify and gather items so desperately needed by the hard-working people who sell their newspapers.  Most Real Change vendors are experiencing homelessness, and live outside, so even simple items can be life-sustaining.

COTA will be collecting new items for donation, such as:

  • hand-warmers (such as Hot Hands)
  • knit gloves (adult sizes)
  • underwear (any gender, all sizes)
  • socks (adult sizes)
  • disposable wipes (baby wipes, for hands/face)

The Real Change staff have said that donations will be a huge boost for their vendors through the damp, cold fall weather.

Thank you, in advance, to anyone who can give a little extra this year to help those in need this season.  Donations need to be given to COTA by Sunday, December 13th.  Please contact the church, through contact information on the website (click here,) to find out how and where donations can be delivered – and thank you!
