On Saturday, April 3rd, the Church of the Apostles will hold a Holy Saturday Walk and Drop-In Eucharist distribution. In an effort to combine prayer and community connections, on the Holy Saturday threshold between death and resurrection, join a Contemplative Eucharist Walk.
From the Fremont Abbey, at 12:30p on April 3rd, join this masked and socially distanced walk, in prayer, to Fremont Peak Park. Members of COTA will celebrate the Eucharist outdoors in the Park and then walk back to the Abbey to light the Easter Fire and join in putting written prayers into the fire.
For those unable or unwilling to join the Contemplative Walk, stop by the Abbey between 2p – 3p. Eucharist will be distributed outdoors, and those joining in this hour can add their prayers to the Easter fire.
For the safety of all, this is an outside event and everyone is asked to remain masked the entire time (except for taking Eucharist.) Hand sanitizer will be made available.
In addition to this special in-person Contemplative Eucharist Walk, COTA will hold services on-line on:
- Maundy Thursday (April 1st) at 7p, with a food experience during the service
- Good Friday (April 2nd) at 7p
- Easter Vigil Service (April 3rd) at 5p, on Zoom, with costumes and festive outfits encouraged – and an open conversation room with dance, trivia and games held after
