The City of Seattle Department of Transportation has completed work on the protected bike lane (cycle track) along Westlake, along with a dedication ceremony held in mid-September.

The Department has promised to continue monitoring how the protected bike lane is working, with communication with neighbors, visits to the corridor and traffic cameras in various locations.  They’ve also promised that the Parking Management Team will continue study of parking availability to make adjustments, if they determine changes are necessary.

A post-construction survey will be open for comment for a few days, through October 7th.  After this, questions and comments on the Westlake Protected Bike Lane, and its impact on the residents, businesses and visitors to the Westlake area, can be sent to WalkandBike@Seattle.gov
