On Saturday, March 2nd, at 2:30p, Claret Wine Bar welcomes everyone to explore ‘The Red Wines of Piedmont’. Come learn about fine Italian wines from this region, before Claret takes a brief break – and its surrounding restaurant, Thackeray Kitchen & Bar, closes forever.
Piedmont is the epicenter of all the things to love about Italy – cars, fashion, cuisine and wine. Come to the ‘Red Wines’ class at Claret to encounter the famous (and not-so-famous yet,) wines of Piedmont, while enjoying snacks and learning about the obscure red grapes of Pelaverga and Grignolino. Best of all, the wines being tasted will be available for purchase, at this class, for 60% off the listed bottle price for attendees to take home and show off!
‘The Red Wines of Piedmont’ class costs $10, for wine and snacks, and is only for those 21+. Pre-register to attend, on SevenRooms, and taste Barolo next to Barbaresco, and Dolcetto in the context of Barbera.
This will be the last weekend to enjoy the wines of Claret – and the brunch of Thackeray Kitchen! After two years, Thackeray is closing down – and in its place will be Fiasco, a casual Italian eatery. Toward the end of March, Claret will re-open and be joined by a full-service Fiasco, serving lunch, dinner, happy hour and many of the same popular brunch items Thackeray had become known for.
Even if you cannot make ‘The Red Wines of Piedmont’ class this Saturday, make sure to stop by Claret or Thackeray by brunch on Sunday, March 3rd!
Salute!
