The Claret Wine Bar has two upcoming opportunities to learn about – and enjoy – fine wines.
On Saturday, January 26th, at 2:30p, enjoy a class in ‘Everything Bordeaux’. Join in an hour of wine and snacks, while tasting the grapes of Bordeaux, discovering a little about its renowned history. Don’t fret, however, as the class is mostly about drinking wine. The class is hosted by the Sommelier team, and the cost is $10. Purchase a seat, for yourself and your friend, on-line (click here.)
Over the evening of Wednesday, January 30th, Claret will feature a tasting of wines from Avennia Winery’s vineyards. This Washington wine is made using Bordeaux and Rhone Valley grapes, and bottled employing traditional cellar techniques. The goal at Avennia is to create wines with a voice. Come hear them at Claret. No advance ticket purchase is required – just stop by the wine bar for a chance to taste Avennia.
Claret Wine Bar is adjacent to Thackeray Kitchen Bar, and located in the Brooks Building at the foot of Stone Way. Those 21+ are invited to stop by Claret during either of these events, or any time, to enjoy a wines by the bottle or the glass, and delicious small plates.
