The clean-up of weeds and winter detritus from the volunteer-maintained Fremont Peak Park had to be rescheduled after last week’s inopportune snow fall.  So the Friends of Fremont Peak Park issued a ‘snow check’ that will come due this Sunday, February 16th, from 10a – 1p.

With Phil The Groundhog predicting six more weeks of winter, now is the time to start trimming the grasses and clearing weeds so that mulch can be laid in March – in preparation for the awaited spring blooms.

Fremont Peak Park is a public space, but is maintained almost entirely through volunteer effort.  Please consider joining in this effort to keep the park lovely.  Some tools, and snacks, will be provided – primarily for those who RSVP at info@FremontPeakPark.org  Dress warmly, and bring your friends/family to get the grounds ready for the fun to come in 2014 at Peak Park.
