Next Wednesday, June 17th, at Noon at Gas Works Park, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Picnic-In-The-Park. This year’s Seattle City Council candidate forum promises to be even more lively as voters can meet candidates for Districts #4 & #6, who promise to represent Fremont, along with candidates running for the two city at-large seats.
The North Seattle Industrial Association, Ballard Chamber of Commerce, Aurora Merchants Association, Wallingford Chamber of Commerce, and Green Lake Chamber of Commerce will also have members in attendance. This frank discussion will focus on the issues of our area, and give voters a chance to meet, face-to-face, with the hopeful candidates.
This year, candidates will be asked to answer one specific question about our area’s concerns (the registration form provides a place for submitting a question.) Marko Tubic, as moderator, will work to remove rhetoric, get real answers and keep the candidates on-time.
This is an open, public meeting about important issues – and opportunities – for our neighborhood. Lunch will be provided, for a fee of $20 (with RSVP) or $25 without, if you want to enjoy pizza and salad provided by The Ballroom.
