Curious about voting for our City Council from Districts?  Thanks to Charter Amendment #19 approved by voters last November, Seattle citizens will start electing the Council from districts in 2015.  Learn about District elections, and the demographics of the two districts covering Fremont – #4 & #6 – at the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Picnic In The Park on Wednesday, June 18th at Noon at Gas Works Park.

Along with other North Seattle business organizations – Wallingford Chamber, the North Seattle Industrial Association, Green Lake Chamber, and the Phinney Neighborhood Association – the Fremont Chamber will host this informative discussion on districts.  Benjamin Anderstone will talk about the demographics of our community, and how we fit into the political landscape of district politics.

Network with other business owners & managers, elected officials and Fremont friends, all while enjoying a delicious picnic lunch provided by Cameron Catering.  Tickets cost $20 with an RSVP ($25 without,) and attendees don’t have to be in business at all – just ready for a fun, friendly and informative Picnic In The Park.
