The Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation invites the community to a meeting on the Lower Woodland Cloverleaf Ball Field and Tennis Court Lighting Replacement project on Tuesday, September 4th from 6p – 7:30p. The discussion of the existing lighting system for the ball fields and tennis courts will take place at the Green Lake Branch of the Seattle Public Library System (7364 E Green Lake Dr N.)
The proposed project, funded through a 2006 ballfield lighting upgrade program from the Cumulative Reserve Fund and the Parks & Green Spaces Levy, includes demolition of the existing, outmoded lighting system and installation of a state-of-the-art system. The goals for the project include elimination of as much glare and light spill into the adjacent neighborhoods as possible, while providing safe and efficient lighting for court and field users.
The community is encouraged to come on September 4th to meet the design team, find out about the expert in the field of ball field lighting working with the Parks department, and learn more details of this project. For additional information about the meeting, and the project, visit the website or contact Kelly Davidson at kelly.davidson@seattle.gov or 206/684-0998.
