The school year ended today for B.F. Day Elementary School, the longest operating school in the Seattle District – and Fremont’s family school!
On May 15th, the valiant and courageous students of B.F. Day School strode out across Fremont and Wallingford to search out Sunny The Dragon, printed and posted on telephone poles, homes and in businesses. The students collected information on the Dragons they saw, and the places Sunny was spotted.
The B.F. Day Adventurers counted over 2,000 Dragons around our community! Thank you to everyone who contributed to that number. Best of all, there were members of the B.F. Day Family, and hopefully members of our larger community, who very generously sponsored the Dragon Quest. Thanks to these wonderful folks, the Quest raised $13,000 for the B.F. Day PTSA which supports programs and resources not covered by the general school budget.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our Elementary School, and the children there who are the future of Fremont! The new school year will begin on September 1st, but there is always time and need for our assistance at the public school. Find out more on the B.F. Day PTSA website, including how to join this great school community.
