On January 6th, Seattle Parks & Recreation will begin construction on the Woodland Park Play area at 1000 N. 59th St. The project will replace the play equipment, improve access and complete other improvements as necessary. Unfortunately, the construction will require the play area to be closed to the public until work is complete, possibly in April 2014.
Funded by the Parks & Green Spaces Levy, the project – design, planning and construction – is budgeted for $350,000. The design for the improvements was developed over a series of public meetings held in 2012.
