On December 11 & 12th, over 70 performers from Dance Fremont will stage a traditional holiday ballet, The Steadfast Tin Solider: A Story Ballet, based on a story by Hans Christian Andersen.  Performances take place at the Shorecrest Performing Arts Center (15343 – 25th Avenue N.E.) at 2p and 7:30p on Saturday, December 11, and 2p on Sunday, December 12.  Tickets can be reserved at 206/633-0812 x 3, or purchased at the theater, and cost $15 general admission, children under 12 cost $12.

The production features colorfully hand-tailored costumes, locally designed and hand-painted scenery, live music and special performances by guest artists Lara Seefeldt and Iyun Harrison.  The dance has been choreographed by Dance Fremont co-director Vivian Little; lyricist and librettist Kathleen Mills conducts the Steadfast Tin Soldier Ensemble.  The show is designed to delight audiences of all ages, and incorporates Signing in Exact English (S.E.E.)
