At Dusty Strings Music School, on August 19th, learn from Broadway actor and musician David Finch about realizing the songs of Woody Guthrie, as he did in the show ‘Woody Sez’ at Seattle Repertory Theatre, and on Broadway.
During this 2-hour class, starting at 12:15p, Finch will reveal tips and tricks for performing Guthrie’s singular music, and making it come alive for an audience. Whether performing at a large venue, or for friends gathered in your living room, Finch can help you polish your performances.
This class will help with playing Guthrie songs on any instrument. Dive into the music, and its traditional origins, to learn how to better communicate with an audience through the works of this prolific folk artist. Bring along your fiddle, guitar, ukulele, banjo or mandolin to learn techniques to enhance your stage presence and build your confidence.
This class is aimed to help the advanced beginner to intermediate players. The cost is $40, and use of a recording device is recommended. Pre-registration, at Dusty Strings, is recommended. Find out more, about this class and many others coming soon, on the Dusty Strings.com website.
