On Saturday, January 12th, from 10a – 2p, King County invites everyone to attend a design workshop for the Fremont Siphon Replacement Project, to be held at B.F. Day Elementary School. The Project will include a facility to be built on the Fremont side of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, and members of our community will have this opportunity to shape the architecture and landscape vision of this permanent structure.
The workshop will allow attendees to:
- learn how the site will be used, and its constraints
- discuss community-held values and visions for the site
- provide input on the flexible elements of the design
- learn the public art process on this project
- hear the next steps to be taken
Also, refreshments and lunch to be provided.
For those unable to attend, materials from the meeting and a comment form will be posted on the King County website after January 14th. Public input will be accepted on the materials until January 25th, through the website, e-mailing adair.muth@kingcounty.gov, or calling 206/263-7319.
