On Monday, February 27th, at 6:30p, the City of Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections will host a public meeting on Design/Review of the proposal to build at 900 N 34th St. At the Good Shepherd Center, attend this second (and possibly last) opportunity for public review and comment on this proposed 7-story uber-green 60,140 sq. ft. office building.
On the site of a building converted to retail/office from manufacturing, developers have plans to construct an office/retail building adhering to very high energy conservation standards under the City Living Building Program. As proposed, the finished structure would contain seven parking spaces, significant bike storage, retail on the sidewalk and amenities at street level to improve the pedestrian experience. This development will also incorporate bio-filtration gardens along Troll Avenue, just as the developer has planned for their project across the street.
This meeting will review the latest design of the building, and allow for public comment on site planning and design issues, only. Comments will be taken by those who sign in, first come, first called, after the project applicants present information about the design. Following this, the Design/Review Board will offer recommendations regarding the design.
To comment on this project (#3024100) without attending the meeting, submit written comments on the design, before February 27th. Comments can be made ‘party of record’ submitted to PRC@seattle.gov or City of Seattle DCI – PRC, 700 – 5th Avenue, Suite 2000, P.O. Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019
