This Fall, Seattle voters can select City Councilmembers that represent the needs of their neighborhoods for the next four years. With seven Council seats (out of 9) up for election, and both of the seats that represent Fremont entirely open, this election could potentially change the governance of Seattle
The neighborhood of Fremont is represented by two City Council seats. Those who live west of Aurora Avenue (Highway 99) vote in District #6, and those voters to the east vote in District #4, along with residents in Wedgewood, Wallingford, Laurelhurst, U-District, and Ravenna.
According to the King County Bureau of Elections, there are 10 candidates registered, so far, for the City Council District #4 position. The candidates are:

According to the Pedersen campaign, they now have yard signs available. Alex has been endorsed by the 46th Legislative District Democrats, along with Ron Sims, Eden Mack, Gerry Pollet, Peter Steinbrueck, Tim Burgess, Nick Licata, Ken Jacobsen, and Ruth Kagi.
