This weekend, the Fremont Outdoor Movies offers a double dose with screenings both Friday and Saturday, August 2nd & 3rd.
Friday night, enjoy a traditional night out under the stars – watching the making of a star! ‘Risky Business’ will be showing on the painted screen, with Tom Cruise, and a Karaoke dance off (pink dress shirt required.) Also, the first 200 people wearing a dress shirt will receive a cool pair of Car2Go shades. The movie starts at dusk, with seating open at 7:30p – bring your own campsite, and your appetite. Food trucks will be parked just beyond the parking lot, with sweet and savory options.
On Saturday, Austin’s Alamo Drafthouse will bring their traveling cinematic experience – R. Kelly’s ‘Trapped In A Closet,’ here for a sing-along! Custom subtitles will run along the bottom of the 22-chapters of this hip-hop-era. Join in this cultural phenomenon done Fremont-style. Warm-up with a dance party accompanied by some of R. Kelly’s best non-Trapped music videos, then swing a spatula in the air while waiting for the moment to scream aloud in terror when ‘Sylvester’ flips back a cover and discovers a rubber…. This one-night-only opportunity to experience what has been staggering audiences around the country. This will be a 21+ and over only event.
