This Saturday, August 23rd, grab your favorite rug, a few dudes/ettes, and head to the parking lot for the ultimate summer movie party, and a screening of the Coen Brothers’ ‘The Big Lebowski’. In addition to live music by Two Buck Chuck, a White Russian bar, and the standard Fremont Outdoor Movie costume contest, this party will benefit the Cranio Care Bears.
Tickets to the 21+ only Dude Fest cost $10 in advance/ $15 at the door (purchase advance tickets through Eventbrite,) and proceeds will be given to a non-profit organization that provides support and compassion to children and their families facing surgery for craniosynostosis. This condition involves premature closure of a newborn child’s skull, and can, without surgery, cause deformities of a child’s head and pressure to build up on a baby’s brain. Cranio Care Bears offers one-on-one support before, during and after surgery for the entire family when facing this difficult challenge.
Enjoy a night out, under the stars, with Jeff Bridges as the Dude, and other fans of this scattered farce – while helping the children. Dude Fest gates open at 7p, with the movie starting at dusk. Don’t forget – BYOC, or Bring Your Own Chair!
