For those in need of practice speaking English, as a second or even fifth language, the Seattle Public Library is hosting several weekly Talk Time conversation groups – including one at our own Fremont Branch Library on Mondays at 4p, starting July 9th.
These Talk Time groups, done in partnership with Literacy Source, are open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis. They will meet weekly through September 8th, with each gathering focused on a specific topic of conversation, selected to increase attendees’ ability to chat, naturally and easily, in their daily life.
In addition to the weekly gathering at Fremont on Mondays, from 4p – 5:30p, SPL will host Talk Time at:
- Broadview Branch, from 6p – 7:30p on Tuesdays
- Central Library (on Level 4, rooms 1 or 2) from 3p – 4:30p on Wednesdays
- Beacon Hill Branch, from 10:30a – Noon on Saturdays
Free and open to the public, Talk Time participation does not require any pre-registration whatsoever. Please help spread the word to those in need of practice in increasing their English conversation skills. For more information, please call 206-386-4636 or e-mail leap@spl.org
