On Friday, August 8th, at 11p, the comfortable, elegant Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey lounge welcomes you to come sprawl and sip, and let the music transform your spirit. The Barrel Thief will pair a special, free screening of the 1972 Pink Floyd ‘Live At Pompeii’ concert film with an Absinthe tasting.
This film, of the mesmerizing, psychedelic, heavy metal band Pink Floyd in an ancient amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy, features ultra-classic, live performances of early tunes. Hear ‘Echoes,’ ‘Careful with that Axe, Eugene,’ ‘A Saucerful of Secrets,’ and ‘One of These Days I’m Going To Cut You Into Little Pieces,’ projected on the big screen – with big sound.
For your enjoyment, and viewing, pleasure, a one-night only menu of Absinthe glasses, tasting flights and cocktails will be available. Called ‘the green fairy’, Absinthe has an otherworldly taste – and a high alcoholic content – that has contributed to its myth and mystery.
