For one week – August 18th – 25th – Caravan Stage Company will perform ‘Nomadic Tempest’ off the shores of Gas Works Park, aboard their 110-foot-tall ship the Amara Zee. Performing in the rigging, this light show and story about climate migration features puppetry, aerial work, music plus songs in five different languages. Starting with a special climate action, from 7p – 8:30p, the performances take place from 8:45 – 10p.
“The Caravan show is this amazing experimental rock opera, with giant puppetry, aerialists working on silk, and lots of riggings and music. All of us were spell bound by the spectacle. Caravan Stage Company is a massive operation. Go see the show.” – Metro Jax, Jacksonville, Fl
Don’t miss the heartfelt messages of this production, told with incredible light projections and aerial acrobatics. The theme of the show is climate change and climate migration, with opportunities to take action each evening before the show. Best of all, a portion of ticket sales benefit Puget Soundkeepers and the Sierra Club.
Tickets can be purchased through StrangerTickets, with seating on a first come, first served basis. The best views will be on Kite Hill, and this is BYOC – bring your own seating, blankets or low-slung chairs.
