On October 31st, the Fremont Troll is 29 years old, and the Fremont Arts Council (FAC) invites everyone to come make art, and merry, in preparation.

The FAC will host more lantern-making workshops, for those who want to light up the Troll, and the haunt to follow, with illuminated critters, creatures, ghouls, and monsters.  Visit the FAC Powerhouse, at 3940 Fremont Ave N, to attend one of these free workshops on:

These workshops are open to all ages, and all abilities.  The FAC wants to welcome everyone to step inside and try their hand at creating original art!  Let your imagination run wild!

As for the Fremont Troll’s birthday, called Trolloween, it will be on Oct 31st starting at 7p at the curmudgeon’s ‘feet’.  After, the celebration continues on the streets, led by the VamoLa Brazilian Drum & Dance band, and those 21+ are invited to continue at a fundraiser for the sculpture at The Ballroom.

Thieves and vandals have destroyed the donation box at the Fremont Troll, and funds are still needed to maintain the popular sculpture.  Fremont Brewing has donated two kegs of Lush IPA, and The Ballroom will tap them and every beer pulled will give money to the FAC and its work on the Fremont Troll.

Find out more about Trolloween on the FAC website (click here,) or stop by one of the lantern-making workshops!
