FairVote Washington has more opportunities for those looking for information about the benefits of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV).  These free, on-line, educational presentations will present citizens with some of the ideals and efforts to improve our voting system.

  • On Tuesday, May 12th at 6p, hear about ‘Unrigging Our Democracy: A Conversation with David Daley’ from the author of the book, Unrigged:  How Americans Are Battling Back To Save Democracy.  FairVote Washington’s Colin Cole and Mohit Nair will talk with Daley about how ordinary citizens are leading the way to ensure our democracy functions fairly.  Daley has researched and written about how grassroots efforts have taken on gerrymandering in Michigan, adopted RCV in Maine, and fought for voting rights restoration in Florida.  Questions and comments will be welcome from audience members, although pre-registration will be needed to attend.  Visit the Zoom website to register, and get more information (click here.)

  • On Thursday, May 14th, at 6p, hear from a panel of nationally-renowned community organizers on ‘Diversity in Democracy & Fair Representation’. Ranked-Choice Voting can assist with fair representation for the historically marginalized and underrepresented communities.  RCV could make your vote more powerful, campaigns more civil, and avoid wasted votes.  Hear from RCV experts involved in grassroots movements across the country including Mike Griffin, Maria Perez, and Cynthia Dai, and ask questions about this voting system that could have changed the 2020 Democratic Presidential primary, and the 2016 Republican Presidential primary.  Register to attend this free, on-line conversation, on Zoom (click here.)
