Farcical, and Brilliantly Provocative, The God Of Hell Arrives At Stone Soup

StoneSoupFeb15_GodOfHell_315Opening this weekend at Stone Soup Theatre, see ‘The God Of Hell’ as written by Sam Shepard and directed by Joanna Goff Sunde.  This robust farce both entertains and provokes as it draws parallels to hot topics and current headlines.

The brilliant cast includes Maureen Miko (Artistic Director for Stone Soup,) Gianni Truzzi, Keith Dahlgren, and Edwin Scheibner, who create the world of Frank and Emma.  The married couple live a quiet, respectable life as Wisconsin dairy farmers until they agree to hide Frank’s old friend, a scientist on the run from a secret government plutonium project.

As hilarious as it is sobering, this theatrical thrill ride mixes the bucolic with the surreal.  Performances run Thursday – Sundays from February 20th – March 14thPurchase tickets through Brown Paper Tickets for this powerful comedy about a political battle played out in a Midwest farm house.
