This Sunday, January 25th, from 11a – 7p, everyone is asked to eat well at the St. Benedict’s School 6th Grade Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser – and help raise money for environmental education at Camp Hamilton.
An added incentive for those looking for a real treat is that one of the parent chefs making the pasta (a gluten-free option is available,) a variety of sauces, bread, and salad is Brad Inserra, of Swingside Café.
Swingside Café will be closed on January 25th to allow its customers to find their way to the Spaghetti Feast (which also includes ice cream for dessert.) “I did one of the first ones,” Inserra said of his participation, “when my son attended the school.” Now his daughter goes to St. Ben’s, and he is hoping his contribution will not only give diners a great meal but also, maybe, attract more diners – and donors.
The Spaghetti Dinner costs $12 for adults and $8 for children and seniors, with wine, beer and fabulous desserts available for an additional cost. Reservations are not required, but parties of 8 or more can call ahead to 206/525-9471.
