On Saturday, August 29th, the Fremont Outdoor Movies will hold its final screening of its 2015 season. This all-ages showing of ‘The Lego Movie’ will end the season much as it began, with each kid under 12-years-old getting in free with a paid adult (thanks to Jameson Irish Whiskey,) and the Seattle Pops frozen dessert truck on-site.
This screening, of the 2014 computer-animated adventure comedy film, features an all-star cast of voices and an award-winning soundtrack. ‘The Lego Movie’ tells the story of Emmet, an ordinary Lego figure, who finds himself in extraordinary circumstances battling the tyrannical Lord Business alongside superhero Lego characters. Critically acclaimed, and a commercial success, ‘The Lego Movie’ has won the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film and the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Animated Feature, along with nominations to the Golden Globes and Academy Awards.
Purchase advance adult tickets to this final opportunity to sit under the stars on the blacktop and take in a heartwarming and funny film through Stranger Tickets. If you need more information, including suggestions for your urban campsite (the Outdoor Cinema is B.Y.O.C. – Bring Your Own Chair) visit the Fremont Outdoor Movie website, or get ideas from the FOM Facebook page including last-minute information if weather conditions turn stormy.
