Fremont always has art to show, but we have significantly more – along with the artists – during the First Friday Art Walk.  Come check out the art, and meet some of the creators, from 6p – 9p on March 3rd.

Visit the Fremont First Friday website to find a complete list of participating venues, but be sure to visit:

  • Portage Bay Goods – Meet Maggie Rutherford, a local artist who shares her love for the nature of the Pacific Northwest with viewers.  Her muted florals and storybook fauna welcome the spring, even if the weather isn’t quite behaving.  Stop by the great gift shop and experience Rutherford’s visualizations of the turn of the seasons.

  • Frame-Up Studios – Visionary artist Annie Nance will be showing some of her original oil paintings.  She creates works of pensive, emotive individuals, while exploring interactions between the female and male lines.  According to Nance, ‘my mind is a mishmash of the places and people I’ve met and loved,’ and they influence her works.  View her incredible paintings, and photos, in the atmosphere of Fremont’s longest running retail shop, known for its fine custom framing services.

Be sure to stop by these venues, along with Fremont Jewelry Design, Art F/X and West of Lenin, and see some fine art, on display for only a short time.  The First Friday Art Walk offers a free opportunity to explore our community and be sociable, while exposing ourselves to culture.  Come for a Walk!
