The Fremont Chamber of Commerce also recommended review of a Business Insider article for those hoping to help Fremont restaurants with their meal purchases. The article, written by Irene Jiang, details reasons you might want to walk, bike or drive to the restaurants at the Center of the Universe, and pick-up your meal directly, to better support our small eateries.
Five things to know about restaurant delivery:
- Ordering directly from restaurants is better for business
- It’s generally cheaper if you order take-out rather than delivery
- Small meal orders, by delivery, often lose money for the restaurant
- Most restaurant delivery can be done ‘no-contact’, and some restaurants do their own delivery
- If delivery becomes ‘the norm’ permanently, the kind of food restaurants can serve will permanently change
