On March 4th, from 6p – 9p, the First Friday Art Walk brings art, culture and entertainment to a dozen venues around the Fremont neighborhood.  For this third month of the year, check these three featured venues and consider these stops on your art walk:

  • Portage Bay Goods – This month the creative gift shop welcomes back children’s book author and illustrator Kate Endle.  Her folk art style has been popular for a long time, and now she has introduced new ink collage-style pieces that use painted Japanese paper on canvas.  Enjoy these new art works, along with snacks and wine (for those 21+,) all at PBG.
  • Frame-Up Studios – The 30-year-old frame & gift shop will host painter Patrick Joy, who uses creative, unconventional objects for his art.  Joy creates paintings using saw blades and wood as his canvas, and will also be displaying new objects he’s transformed into art.  In addition to Joy, check out the wider collection of art and memorabilia that Frame-Up has on-display.

  • Fremont Jewelry Design – This month, enjoy beautiful, intuitive Japanese watercolor paintings by Audrey Richards, and a fantastic trunk show displaying the award-winning jewelry of Gina Pankowski.  Pankowski’s signature pieces, using silver, gold and gems, will be displayed among the ever-changing display of other, artistic and gorgeous jewelry creations that Fremont Jewelry always offers.

March 4th will be a great night for beautiful art, and for strolling the neighborhood and meeting the beautiful people.  Find out all about the venues and the art of the First Friday Art Walk on the website – and see you there!
