On the first weekend in December, after the flurry of Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday, Fremont will share its secrets for making shopping, and holidays, fun, Fremont-style!
December 4th, 5th & 6th, Fremocentrist.com presents a weekend of Fremont Festivus festivities – free (and mostly free) events around the ‘hood that celebrate the season, and give everyone a chance to remember why shopping is FUN in Fremont!
Three events stand at the center of this Festivus celebration – the traditional Fremont Lenin Lighting (on Friday, Dec 4th at 5p,) the 25th Fremont Holiday Market (on Sunday, Dec 6th from 11a – 4p,) and the first-ever Rocket Re-Launch (on Saturday, Dec 5th at 5p.) All three events are free to attend, with plenty of surprises, Santa and treats!

Friday, December 4th –
- 5p, the annual Lenin Lighting with live music by Ricky Gene Powell & Acoustic Laboratory, Fremont’s Santa, traditional Fremont Festivus games (airing of grievances, feats of strength, and the Chicken Dance ‘round the Festivus pole,) treats and hot beverages provided by HomeStreet Bank, Pie, and prizes
- 6p – 9p, Fremont First Friday Art Walk with a Holiday Party & Art Display of plush art by Kelice Penney of Careful It Bites at Portage Bay Goods (with goodie bags to the first 50 visitors after 6p)
Saturday, December 5th –
- 9a – 2p, at Red Door, Santa photos by Rowland Photography
- 10a – 11a, at Fremont Health Club, two free classes in high-intensity interval training & introduction to body weights (pre-register at lillian@fremonthc.com)
- 11a – 3p, Holiday Treats at HomeStreet Bank
- Noon, at Lenin, SeaTown Sound caroling (check out their other holiday shows at Volunteer Park and Varsity Theater)
- Noon – 5p, Headdress Making Workshop at FAC Powerhouse (make four, take one home)
- Noon – 1p, at Fremont Health Club, free MIXXED Fit dance/fitness class (pre-register at lillian@fremonthc.com)

- 8p – 9:30p, Petapoluza Customer Appreciation Holiday Party with food, drinks, games, raffle, and prizes
Sunday, December 6th –
- 10a – 4p, Fremont Holiday Market with snowflake sales of gift items under $25
- Noon – 5p, Headdress Making Workshop at FAC Powerhouse
- Noon, 1:30p & 3:30p, tastings & tours at Fremont Mischief Distillery (21+ only)
