On Saturday, July 8th, from 5:30p – 9p, the Washington Distillers Guild returns to Fremont Studios with their showcase of area distilleries. The Guild’s official tasting event, Proof, returns for its fifth year, providing visitors with education, information and spectacular spirits made by over 40 craft distillers from all over our state. Tickets are on-sale now, and sold out in 2016, so get yours now!
Meet the craftsmen, and women, of Washington’s small, independent distilleries, while sipping award-winning spirits, and noshing on delicious delicacies from a dozen local restaurants. “The state of Washington is home to some of the fastest-growing craft distilleries in the nation,” said Dick Stephens, President/CEO of Varsity Communications, the organizer of Proof, “This is a unique opportunity to sample a wide variety of locally made spirits, and celebrate this fast-growing industry.”
Along with tastings of locally made whiskey, gin, bourbon, vodka and other fine spirits, attendees at Proof can discover new, favorite cocktails made by area restaurants and local bartenders, using these products. Bottles of the spirits sampled will be available for purchase, with sales benefitting the Washington Distillers Guild, an industry advocacy and support organization.
