On Thursday, April 3rd, starting at 7p, Seattle Pacific University has the distinct honor of hosting a special, free lecture by Madeleine Albright on issues currently confronting the United States, and the world. The presentation will take place at Royal Brougham Pavilion (seating is limited,) with doors scheduled to open at 6:15p.
On Friday, April 4th, Former U.S. Secretary of State Albright will present the keynote speech at the SPU Downtown Business Breakfast. At both talks, the first woman to serve as Secretary of State (1997 – 2001) will draw on her extensive experience in public service as well as her ongoing work in the public sector. Albright served as an ambassador to the United Nations, a member of the Cabinet and National Security Council, and formerly chaired NATOs New Strategic Concept Group. She currently teaches at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and as chair of both the National Democratic Institute and Partners for the New Beginning Aspen Institute Middle East Programs.
