On Friday, March 2nd, from 6p – 9p, the Fremont First Friday Art Walk will bring color and culture to our community. Come be a part of the stroll, exploring the venues around the Center of the Universe, while meeting artists, seeing art and be a part of the warm, free and welcoming Art Walk.
Many venues participate in the FFF Art Walk, and a map will be available at Portage Bay Goods (click here to see a version.) No matter what, make sure you stop by to see:
- HelloChloeMarie Embroidery at Portage Bay Goods – Come see art in stitches, with hand-embroidered art work by Chloe Albin, plus wine and snacks. It’s a great way to see alternative art, in the creative environment of Fremont’s procrastinator’s gift shop.
- Fremont artist Patricia Halsell at Frame-Up Studios – See new and familiar works by this local painter, who accurately captures the spirit of Vincent Van Gogh’s quote, ‘I dream of painting and then I paint my dream.’ Come explore works by this underexposed artist, and the other art and creative framing in Fremont’s oldest retailer.
- Colorful collage work by Josh Linton at Fremont Jewelry Design – Meet the artist and talk art with others as you explore the intricate works of this local creator. Also, enjoy the creative jewelry on display, while sampling wine and snacks.
The Fremont First Friday Art Walk offers a free evening of culture and community. Take a stroll and see the sights of Fremont, and the various venues around the ‘hood. As always, find more details on the FFF Facebook page and/or the FFF website.
