Last Wednesday, May 18th, at the Fremont Abbey, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce welcomed nearly 50 businesses and non-profits to shamelessly self-promote their cause, service and needs.
In addition to traditional businesses, like Sovereign Legal, Habitude, Ray’s Boathouse & Catering, and Juniper Flowers, the Fremont Chamber hosted a selection of slightly more creative enterprises like Ninja Escape, My NextU business services, Simply Placed organizational services, and Fremont Sunday Market vendor Sunwink Seattle.
Non-profits made a good showing, including pitches from the Fremont Arts Council for volunteers, and donors, for their upcoming Solstice Parade. Moisture Festival asked for support, as did Solid Ground and the Seattle Art Car Blowout. Matt Gano of the Fremont Abbey promoted their leadership building Next Step program. Karen Ko of the City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods reminded everyone of the Fremont community clean-up on May 28th.
Businesses, and non-profits, brought hand-outs to share, including Frame-Up Studios, People’s Bank, Union Bank, Shepherd Family Chiropractic, and Sherry Jaqua representing The Juice Plus+ Company and Tower Gardens. Several businesses also gave away delightful door prizes, including Chinook Book and NalandaWest.
Overall, it was a fast trip through a great swath of outstanding area businesses and organizations. The Fremont Chamber seeks to support and strengthen our community, and the Shameless Self-Promotion gatherings always provide a positive platform for networking, sharing and growing our connections and awareness.
