The Fremont Chamber of Commerce has created, with the help of its members and other donors, a Center of the Universe Relief Fund. The Fremont Chamber is currently accepting applications, and donations, to this grant program intended to assist our local small businesses.
The Center of the Universe Relief Fund is intended to aid the unique blend of small shops, restaurants, service providers and non-profits that contribute to the character and charm of Fremont. Relief Fund grants, of up to $1,500, are intended to ease some of the suffering of those businesses adversely impacted by COVID-19. The Small Business Administration, the State of Washington and other sources have created relief resources for companies, and families, struggling, but the Fremont Chamber has identified gaps that have left some neighborhood businesses and non-profits ineligible. The Center of the Universe Relief Fund is about helping fill the gaps and give a hand up to, and another opportunity, to our fabulous Fremont enterprises.
Of course, those individuals and businesses that are doing okay, or even better, at this difficult time, are asked to consider donating to the Center of the Universe Relief Fund. No amount is too small. The aim is to assist our neighbors in need, and to all contribute to keeping our business district intact, and together.
